Planning a trip around the area? There are many places of interest near Łazy! We present to you those that we find the most intriguing. Here you’ll find locations offering activities for the active, places to enjoy the beauty of nature, and spots that we found particularly unique.
The area offers many cycling routes. In our facility, it is possible to rent a bicycle for an additional fee. You can easily go on a trip to the lighthouse in Gąski or to Koszalin.
At Lake Jamno, you can catch great specimens of crucian carp, bream, sea trout, perch, tench, and eel. Fishing enthusiasts can purchase special permits at the Fishery Farm in Mielno at 43 Chrobrego Street and at the post office in Mielno at 5 1-go Maja Street. These permits authorize spinning fishing and fishing with two rods in the area from Lake Jamno to the bridge by the Jamneński Canal, as well as on the Strzeżenica River. On the website www.zpw.pl under the heading Permit Fishery Farm Mielno, you will find the current price lists. It is also possible to purchase a permit for sea fishing. Rates and procedures for obtaining the permit are also available on the www.zpw.pl website.
The company “Zimny Włodek” offers 4-5 hour kayaking trips on the streams: Grabowa with Bagiennica or Unieść. These streams are clean, not difficult, and can be navigated by people sitting in a kayak for the first time. From their perspective, nature is more interesting and wild. A bonfire is organized along the route. The trips are an excellent opportunity to spend free time when the weather is bad or when lying on the beach gets boring. They are organized from mid-April to mid-October. Due to high demand, it is necessary to book in advance.
The homestead is an example of typical 19th-century Jamno architecture. On its grounds, there is a reconstructed peasant cottage that showcases the most characteristic artifacts of the material culture of former Jamno inhabitants. Meanwhile, in the modern barn, workshops, meetings, and various cultural events are held. It also houses the office of the Ethnography Department of the Museum in Koszalin.
Near Koszalin rises Góra Chełmska (137 m above sea level), surrounded by forests. In the early Middle Ages, Slavic pagans gathered at the shrine on the hill, and when Christianity prevailed, pilgrims came to the chapel built there. In 1888, an observation tower was erected here, offering a fantastic panorama. There is also a sanctuary.
The arboretum is primarily an excellent educational facility - students of environmental protection (Koszalin University of Technology) and biology (Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk), as well as children and youth from educational institutions throughout the Central Pomeranian region, gain their dendrology knowledge here. The arboretum is equipped with an educational shelter, a bonfire area, and numerous resting places.
The nature reserve "Sieciemińskie Sundews" is located behind the village of Przytok (a signpost on the left will lead to the site) on the Sianów – Ratajki – Polanów route. The purpose of protecting the reserve's nature is to preserve the transitional peat bog with characteristic, rare, and protected plant species - primarily four varieties of sundews. The peat bog currently ranks among the most floristically interesting sites within the Karnieszewice Forest District, and due to its location, natural values, and picturesque nature, it is used for education and teaching. Within the reserve, a boardwalk with a viewing platform and educational boards have been established. Among the legally protected vascular plants occurring in the reserve are: bog sedge, long-leaved sundew, intermediate sundew, round-leaved sundew, oval-leaved sundew, common peat, bog cotton grass, neglected bladderwort, small bladderwort, northern water-lily.
The parrotarium is a place where parrots fly freely. You will encounter many species of exotic birds that you can observe up close. Their parrotarium team will gladly answer all questions about parrots. You will learn where they live, what they eat, and what they like. With the youngest visitors in mind, as well as those who need more time to get accustomed to the parrots, they have prepared a place where you can watch the parrots through a glass.
The lighthouse in Gąski was built at the end of the 19th century and reaches a height of 50.2 meters. It is open to visitors. A winding granite staircase leads to the top – to reach the terrace you have to climb 190 steps. From the top, there is a picturesque view of the Baltic Sea, with Sarbinowo, Chłopy, Mielno, and Unieście visible from here. The lighthouse is located in the center of the village; at the base of the tower, there is the lighthouse keeper's house, stalls with food and souvenirs, and a nicely developed area. The lighthouse is listed in the register of historic monuments. In our offer, for an additional fee, it is possible to organize a trip to the lighthouse with the famous ogórek (a type of jeep).
Hortulus Spectabilis Gardens is a family-friendly park and garden complex covering 8 hectares, ultimately planned to cover 35 hectares. The main attraction of the garden is the world's largest hornbeam hedge maze and a 20 m observation tower located at its heart. From the tower, you can admire the gardens surrounding the maze, including: the Four Seasons Garden, New Design Gardens, Perennial Beds, Rosaria, and Box Parterres. Both gardens have coffee bars, souvenir shops, free parking, and restrooms.
Mieleńskie Amusement Park was established 50 years ago. It was created by two passionate and visionary people, Łucja and Władysław Śliwińscy. Currently, the amusement park has 12 main attractions and every year strives to provide visitors with unforgettable experiences and emotions. Children, youth, and adults – everyone will find something for themselves. There are plenty of attractions for adrenaline addicts.
Sightseeing cruises take place on ships sailing from the roadstead at the Darłówek East port (including one styled after a Viking ship). A standard sightseeing cruise lasts about 40 minutes. On the ship, there is a pirate zone with a bar, and atmospheric shanty music plays on the deck. You can also purchase a souvenir certificate confirming your sea adventure in Darłowo. Tickets can be purchased directly at the port by the quay in Darłówek East near the drawbridge.
Throughout the park there are numerous benches, two bridges, part of the defensive walls, and a cinema building. Currently, the park serves the residents of Koszalin for relaxation and outdoor walks. During the summer, music lovers can listen to concerts near the fountain performed by musicians from the Koszalin Philharmonic. Koszalin Park named after the Dukes of Pomerania is well developed, and its landscape features, plant diversity, location in the city center, and proximity to public utility facilities (e.g., amphitheater, cultural center, etc.) make it a popular destination for residents and tourists.
On the premises of the settlement, there are characteristic wooden buildings, such as Bilbo Baggins' house and the elves' observation tower. The Hobbit Village offer is addressed to individual guests as well as organized groups, mainly school youth. For them, field games related thematically to the world from Tolkien's books, craft workshops during which participants learn the secrets of making, among others, wool, spinning, and felting are prepared.
Wild West Amusement Park is the largest facility of this type in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship! During the summer season, surprises await you every day. Together with them, you will learn cowboy dancing, admire stunt performers, and participate in... a bank robbery. The facility also includes an Indian village, mini zoo, motopark, and western city.
The Wax Museum in Kołobrzeg is a wonderful attraction for the whole family. Only here can you meet the best-represented wax figures of people who have made their mark in cinematic, political, and sports history. Additionally, there are magical and beautiful presentations for children. Here, you can take interesting and fun photos among famous characters in a magical place.
The Polish Arms Museum in Kołobrzeg has existed since 1963 and is a very interesting place, especially for young boys. The exhibition "History of Polish Arms" presents collections of military items from the Middle Ages to the present day. Among contemporary times, the most interesting are collections from World War II, including the famous encryption machine "Enigma." The museum staff present weapons, uniforms, military equipment, and even personal items belonging to soldiers. In one of the museum's halls, recent finds have been gathered. These are the wrecks of planes recovered by divers.
